Ensign Safety Alert 2013-11 Installing Flowline

Installing Flowline WHAT HAPPENED? The rig was in the process of rigging‐up after a rig move. The injured employee was on top of the trip tank with (2) others attempting to line up the 90 degree elbow with the connecting flange. While lining it up, this flowline elbow turned pinching fingertip of employee’s right ring finger. This “pinch” resulted in a fracture and stitches to the finger.
